The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) program is a fourth-year initiative serving as a gateway to advanced research degrees or professional careers requiring advanced research skills. With half the program dedicated to a thesis-based independent research experience, it offers training in methodology, research skills, and theoretical inquiry. In the Humanities stream, students can focus on Media and Screen Studies, Literature, Creative Writing, Philosophy, History, or Indigenous Studies. The major project can take the form of a traditional thesis or, for Creative Writing students, a practice-driven thesis involving creative work and an exegesis.
